"Rated in relation to my use."
I teach an Internet shop, mostly to Junior High students. The very LAST thing I would want
is a program that is too confusing (that does not necessarily mean simple), one that is
no challenge, or one of great expense. One of my shops has been using Selida now for the
4th session and they love it. It encourages them to learn it, they see their results, and
it's just a good ratio of productivity and understanding. Kids notice things we never do.
In the Help Files is a definition of the word "tool". That sparked more interest
in them than I would have ever imagined ! Thanks to the developer(s), it has made my class
far better. I also am relieved when a student asks a question that I do not know the answer
to, and before I can fumble it, another student answers it! It lets me know they have an
interest that is genuine. Thanks

"A simple, stable editor. Oh yes, it's FREE!"
Had no problems with the download this time. I had downloaded it months ago and the instructions
were not all that helpful. Seems a full re-make has been done in that area and all is great.
I won't say it's a PhotoShop, but it is a very reliable, sensible editor that I recommend.
Actually, things went smoother with Selida than any of the other editors in that range I
am currently testing.

"Too bad all freeware isn't this good."
I've read the reviews of the Selida application for a while now. Seems to me that those
who do n't like it don't seem to offer much in the way of explanation. The program is a
Freeware and it is still in development. If my 10 year old can build a site that actually
looks really good - and for free - I think the complainers should go shell out money somewhere
else. By the way, she is 10 years old - I am 30, and I use it too.

"Excellent web tool"
You can easily switch between designing the web page visually, or editing it in HTML. It
does have a little bit of a stability problem, but hey, it's free, and the ocassional crash
is not bad enough to deter me from using the product. I highly recommend it.http://stevenicus.tripod.com

I was a little daunted by the HTML codes up front (I'm used to Adobe PageMill) but Selida
is so easy to figure out that I was building a simple webpage in no time! My HTML is rusty
but the popup menus are very helpful for codes.

Now a very stable product, this new version of Selida is an excellent HTML Editor and, following
the examples provided, I have now taught myself to use CSS from it!

This is a good program for making simple html. I like the fact that you can keep an eye
on how many characters(bytes) you have on a page. Great help file. Takes a while to get
used to but it is a pretty good editor. try it.

The version I downloaded (from amaryllis.8m.com ) is Selida Version 2.1. I am no expert
and was hesitant to try it because I know of professionals using it. But, I tried it anyway.
I did not find it complicated or lacking in any way. I understand the company is located
in Norway, and they have gone through much change to make the site more "English Friendly".
In one wrap up - I would think a person crazy not to try this great free editor. I have
many editors on this system, all have something to them that really turn me off to using
them, Selida Version 2.1 does not.
