Q: ARGHHH! Selida crashed, and I lost all my work!
A: Don't panic! Selida saves a backup of your file. All you have to do, is that you DON'T open the document that you worked on, but open the file that is called something like 'yourfile_.html' (where 'yourfile' indicates the name of the file that you worket with). If you open 'yourfile.html' instead, all your work will be lost.
Q: The macro function looks cool! How does it work
A: In Selida 2.1 we have made a more powerful version of the old macros in Selida 1.x and 2.0. It is now scriptable. You inserts command using the System Commandos dropdown list. A caommando might look like this [Find next]. This value has no options, it just searchs for the next item in the document, but some of the commandoes has extra options. For example has the [Selection Length=''] one place where you can insert values, you have to insert the value between the ' and ' (E.g. [Selection Length='5']). Some has two places where you can insert values, e.g. [Replace all '' with '']. You can run the macros using it's shortcut key (e.g. Alt+A), or by pressing F11 when you are in HTML or Split mode and select the macro name from the list and then click Enter or Space (The macros will not work in Design or Preview mode).

If you've made a cool toolbar skin, please send it to us so we can publish it on our site! If you do, include your name, webpages, description and more in a seperate text file...

Q: How do I find the Selida folder in the system registry
A: Press Ctrl+F and type 'VB and VBA Program Settings' and click 'Find Next'. Use the scrollbar in the left panel and scroll down until you find a folder that is named 'Selida'. Click on this folder. If you have a multi user computer, there may be many folders that is called 'VB and VBA Program Settings', therefor you have to press F3 (Find Next) until you find the right folder.
Q: Which version of Internet Explorer do I have
A: Launch Internet Explorer and click on 'About Internet Explorer' in the Help menu. On the first text line (under the logo), it stands 'Version:' and after that some numbers. The numbers indicates which Internet Explorer version you have. E.g. does 6.0.2600.0000 mean that you have Internet Explorer version 6.
Q: How do I (re)install Internet Explorer 6? And Why
A: There are several methods you can use to install Internet Explorer (IE) 6. You can find it on almost every coverCD you get when you buy a computer magazine, you can order a CD from Microsoft (not recomended) or you can download it from the web. The last method is the best if you don't have a CD. Go to www.microsoft.com/ie and download it. Selida needs IE to function. Both the built-in previewer and the WYSIWYG editor is based on IE technology.
Q: How do I unzip a file
A: When you have downloaded Selida, it is packed in one ZIP file (compressed file). In order to install Selida, you have to use a unzip utillity. In WinXP/Me/2000 there is a built-in unzipper, so you just have to click on the file, but if you don't have one of those, you have to use a stand-alone unzip utillity. The one we like best is WinRAR, but you can also use WinZip, PK Zip, PowerArchiver or Freezip. When you have opened the file you only need (in most cases) to doubble click on the 'Setup.exe' file.
